Atomic Novice Rowing

Youth Novice Rowing Programs are offered to participants between 11 and 17 years of age.

  • No experience necessary

  • Athletes will learn rowing fundamentals and how to start training for competition in a team setting

  • Practice: Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday from 4:15pm - 6:15pm

  • Offered Fall, Winter and Spring

  • Cost: $399 (Fall 2019) (team travel, uniforms, USRowing athlete membership are not included)

  • Complimentary first week trial period (Fall - August 26-30, 2019) - if you love it enroll, if not there's no obligation.

  • ORRA Membership is NOT required for participation in the youth novice rowing program.

  • Every novice athlete is encouraged to provide a minimum of 32 hours of volunteer hours during the year. Regular ORRA Members receive a significant discount on their annual membership for completing their volunteer hours.

Not ready to sign up and pay for something you have never tried?  We understand. That's why we offer the first week of practice free of charge to all new rowers.

How to Register:

1- Register For Junior Novice on Regatta Central under Clubs / Atomic / Programs and Classes 

2 - Download and complete the required novice rowing forms.  Submit to ORRA coaching staff on your first day.


Special Note:  ORRA offers its coached programs in seasons. Season start and end dates are below (Athletes must be registered prior to the start of each season).

  • Fall Season: August 26 - November 11, 2019

  • Winter Season: November 18, 2019 - February 8, 2020 (TN Indoors Championships, Chattanooga, TN)

  • Spring Season: TBD
