USRowing is recognized the the United States Olympic Committee as the national governing body for the sport. USRowing is responsible for the selection, training and management of the USRowing National Team that represents the United States in international competition. USRowing is the oldest national governing body for amateur sport in the United States, established in 1872. Rowers across the country are members of USRowing.
