ORRA is seeking motivated and responsible juniors to cox for the Masters Program
Spring Season: February 20 - May 15, 2014
Tuesday, Thursday 6:30- 8:30pm
Coxswains cox on Saturday at 9:00-11:00am according to a posted rotation schedule
Maintain a safe training environment (follow coaches instructions on safety)
Maintain a positive and constructive learning environment
Take and give feedback constructively
Be prepared and ready to start on time for each practice
Check your lineups everyday prior to arriving at practice (posted by email).
Lead athletes to double check equipment prior to launching
Teach athletes how to care for equipment before/during/after practice
Lead boat washing following each practice
Lead rowers to focus on the goals for each practice (as instructed by coaches).
Ask questions, bring a notebook and understand the workout and expectations from designated coach.
Attendance: Coxswains are expected to cox all practices during the week and attend their scheduled practice on Saturdays. If, for any reason, a practice session must be missed, coaches must be information 48hrs prior to the practice. Unexcused or excessive misses may result in termination.
Racing: Coxswains may be asked to cox during Masters races, you may volunteer to cox as your discretion. Atomic Juniors commitments should always take priority over master racing.
$20 per practice (paid on the 1st and 15th of each month).
