PARENT'S TRAVEL MEETING:

 On the Monday prior to ANY regatta there will be a parents meeting at the boathouse at 6:30 pm. We will cover details of departure and return times, as well as any other important information that parents need to be aware of regarding your children in the Junior Program. Assignment of drivers and chaperones will be done at this time plus any volunteer needs will be addressed.

TRAVEL FEES:

 All travel and regatta fees will be collected on the Monday prior to the event. Travel fees include:

  • Event entry fees
  • Transportation
  • Accommodations

The Travel Fee will be divided up between each athlete involved with the event.

There will be a $6.00 food fee charged for each away regatta this will be given to the Booster organization to provide food at away regattas.

TRAVEL:

 No rower is allowed to drive themselves to any away regatta. Rowers must have written permission from a parent prior to leaving the regatta site. Your athlete will only be allowed to travel and compete with the team if all fees or arrangements with the Junior Program Coordinator have been made. Money for entertainment, souvenirs and daily meals will not be provided. Curfew will be set by the Coach and enforced by the chaperons. No one is allowed out after curfew. While Juniors are in a hotel room other than assigned or in room of a member of the opposite sex, doors are to be left open.

ENFORCEMENT:

 Failure to abide by the rules, written or given verbally by a Coach or Chaperon, may result in removal from the line-up, immediate suspension from events or dismissal from the ORRA Junior Rowing Program. The Coach in consultation with all parties involved will determine all penalties for violations. Individuals as well as parents and will be held responsible for any and all damage incurred. As well as parents being responsible for damages caused by actions. Parents may be required to retrieve a suspended or dismissed rower or coxswain from a trip at their own expense.
