Adult Masters Rowing

Masters Programs are for adult rowers 21 and up with prior rowing experience.

Spring, Summer, & Fall Training

Goal: Improve rowing fundamentals, develop physical fitness, and increase rowing performance on the water.

  • Geared towards athletes ages 21+ with some previous rowing experience

  • 2x per week and 3x per week options available

  • Offered Spring, Summer and Fall

  • Coached Recreational classes on Monday and Wednesday from 6:15pm-8:15pm; Coached Competitive classes on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:15pm -8:15pm and Saturday from 10:00am-12:00pm

  • Race opportunities available

  • ORRA Membership required

  • Cost: $199 (Recreational/Fall)/$250 (Competitive/Fall) (does not include team travel, uniforms, USRowing athlete membership fee and ORRA membership fee.)

  • ORRA Membership is required, and is prorated based on a 1 October fiscal year.

Winter Conditioning - Get in the best shape of your life!

Goal: Improve rowing fundamentals, develop physical fitness, and improve individual performance on the ergometer.

  • No prior experience necessary

  • Winter 2020 Schedule - Monday , Wednesday, Thursday ; 6:15pm-8:15pm.

  • Rowers will develop fitness using the ergometer and boathouse weigh equipment

  • ORRA Membership required

  • All participants will be given the option to compete at Tennessee Indoor Championship on Feb 8, 2020.

How To Sign UP:

1 - Register for Adult masters on regatta Central under Clubs / Oak Ridge Rowing / Programs & classes.

2 - Are you a Member of ORRA?  Register for ORRA membership on regatta central under clubs / oak ridge rowing / memberships. Questions? Email

3 - Download the ORRA Annual Liability Release Waiver (first page only) and submit to your coach or business office prior to your first row.

4 - If you plan to race in USRowing sponsored events,  you must be an active Championship member of USRowing with a signed waiver.  This is a yearly membership that you can sign up for, renew, or check status at   

Special Note:  ORRA offers its coached programs in seasons. Season start and end dates are below (Athletes must be registered prior to the start of each season).

  • Fall Season: September 2 - November 11, 2019

  • Winter Season: November 18, 2019 - Feb 27th 2020 (schedule extend to fit the Daylight Savings Time Calendar)
